Where components only require a specific area coated and masking is not an option or desired, Selective plating can be used. The process is performed without the immersion of the part into a solution and utilises bespoke equipment which comprises of an anodic tool which is impregnated with the metalizing solution. The advantages of the process include very selective plating, repair of components without disassembly and good process control. The process can be used for a wide range of applications including Corrosion resistance, Conductivity, Defect repair, Wear resistance and dimensional restoration.
