Essential Skills
Visual and dimensional inspection experience, able to use standard inspection equipment Mic’s / Verniers etc
Interpretation of technical drawings / specification
Quality First attitude, attention to detail
Well organised and works well under pressure
PC Literate (MS Office)
Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
Desirable Skills
Plating process experience
Working knowledge of ISO / AS / NADCAP Standards
Root cause and fault finding skills
Willingness to work shifts
Lean / 5S exposure
The standard hours are 8-4.30 Monday to Thursday and 8-3 Friday. Must be willing and able to work a night shift as and when required : Current shift pattern is Monday to Thursday 4.30pm to 2.30am - shift rate available
Full Time Permanent Post - Salary - dependent on experience

South West Metal Finishing Exeter is seeking a job progresser.
This role involves progressing customers work through the factory, liaising with customers and advising them of expected completion date. Liaising with production control and operators to ensure deadlines are met and customers are kept informed and up to date with progress. The person should have good customer service skills, a patient and calm approach, and be able to be robust and clear when required and balance helpfulness with practicality and production demands. Prospective candidates should have good computer literacy (MS office and keyboard skills). The candidate mayalso be trained in other office duties such as booking in data and must be willing to undertake a variety of functions.
Training will be given. Hours 8-4.30 Monday to Thursday Friday 8-3pm.
